The Sea-Swirl, for Saltwater and Freshwater aquariums, is a device that connects to the top of your aquarium. It rotates the water returning from an external water storage source (usually a Sump of some kind).
The units
are designed to OSCILLATE 90
DEGREES EVERY 60 SECONDS (180 degrees with Y attachment for 1/2 and 3/4 models), which provides a gradual horizontal movement of water. Circulation is a very important part of the aquarium
hobby. The hobbyist often overlooks circulation in their quest to provide there
aquarium system with the best of filtration, lighting, and skimming. I feel, this is a
very bad oversight on the part of the hobbyist. Circulation has been the solution
to a great many of the problems I have encountered in the aquarium maintenance business.
One of the key pieces of equipment in water circulation are power heads. A
power head is a submersible motor designed to move water in a linear direction. They have
there pros and cons, but for the most part they serve a necessary function adequately. Now
there is an improved method of circulating water. Saltwater and freshwater
hobbyists can benefit from this device in many ways:

Here is some technical
information from the manufacture Aquarium Currents Inc. The Sea-Swirl is a
black vented plastic unit with a 3 or 5 watt motor mounted inside. The dimensions
vary with the unit and are found below. The addition of new motors for Australia, Uk, Europe, and New Zealand add a wide
variety of versatility to the Sea-Swirl.
The unit has (3) VITON O-Rings sealed with Teflon grease for durability and reliability.
The 9foot electrical cord makes it easy to find an outlet just about anywhere around your
system. The unit has an adjustable bracket for easy installation on the top of any
aquarium. The motor oscillates 90 degrees every 60 seconds generating a gradual horizontal
water flow, with an adjustable nozzle. We do sell an optional "fanning action"
flared nozzle and a 180 degree capability "Y" fitting. The 1/2" units can
handle a maximum of 550 gallons per hour. Larger units are, a 3/4" model-850GPH and
1" model-1150GPH for larger installations. The total height with the top fitting for
the 1/2" model is 3 3/4", the 3/4" model is 4 1/2", and the 3/4"
model is 4 1/2". This makes it small enough to go on the top of most any aquarium set
up. Each unit is maintenance free and permanently lubricated. Sea-Swirl's
motors are UL Listed and CSA certified with a ONE year manufacturer
warranty. All units are made in the USA and are US Patent Pending.
