The AZ series commercial skimmers are:

1) Designed to offer basic skimming without extra cost.

2) They use a single pump (not included) and do not include extras like, wash system for collection cup, mazzi injectors, or air meters. (added with extra charge)

Important Notice:

These skimmers are not designed to be moved with water in them.

    Top Fathom skimmers are one of the best venturi skimmers on the market in my humble opinion. I have installed them on many of  my service accounts. The skimmers give the best bang for the buck compared to some other skimmers on the market. They do, however require an adequate sized pump to run properly. (The pumps are sold separately) You wouldn't buy a sports car and put a lawnmower engine in it, would you?

    Power heads do not have enough head pressure to run Top Fathom skimmers.

      The information section above for the appropriate skimmer gives the GPH (Gallons per hour) required to run the skimmer along with the recommended PSI (Pressure per Square Inch). With these numbers you can calculate the pump size needed. To find the approximate PSI for a given pump you have purchased find the head pressure (The height the pump has to move the water to) at the designed flow rate of the pump and divide by 2.31.

Example: A pump rated at 350 GPH at 10 foot head pressure. 10/2.31= 4.3 PSI. This pump will work with a TF200 at 10 foot of head pressure.

Placing a pump that is overrated will produce light color foam. 

Placing a pump that is under rated will decrease skimmer efficiency.
